Roots & Shoots

Short tutorial:

1. Don't get caught by the farmer, fully grown, or destroyed by crows.
2. Use the arrow keys or WASD to move.
3. During the day, avoid the farmer's sight by pressing the Spacebar to plant yourself in the ground. But be wary, just by planting yourself you're taking in minerals as well!
4. Watered dirt spots increase your growbar when walked or rooted in.
5. At night, crows pose a threat. Use them to manage your growth.
6. Scarecrows scare away crows. Use them strategically to create safe paths.

Description:

Immerse yourself in a whimsical farm where the rules have been reversed, casting you as a sentient plant with a thrilling mission. Your goal is to carefully evade the attention of the tenacious farmers who seek to nurture and harvest you. However, the night brings a new set of challenges as mischievous crows swoop in, eager to hinder your growth. Strike a delicate balance as you strategically expose yourself to the crows to lose grow progress, which is essential for progression, but be cautious not to let them harm you too much, or the game will be over. Alongside you, sentient scarecrows stand guard, ready to protect you from excessive harm. Prepare for an exhilarating journey as you navigate stealth mechanics, captivating artwork, and a truly unique twist on the concept of reverse roles.
